Why are we running?
This project grew out of a belief that physical challenge can be used as a tool for something bigger — to support opportunity, protection, and hope for young people who deserve it.
Over 400km of trail running, this endeavour will push the team to our physical limits. When you’re tired, exposed to the elements, and reliant on others, what matters becomes very clear.
Endurance has a way of stripping things back to it’s honest basics and can be used as a shared language, bonding us here in the UK with our friends over in Kenya.
Who we’re supporting
Set up in 2021, in proud memory of Agnes Tirop, Tirop’s Angels Foundation is on a mission to unite against gender-based violence in Kenya by empowering women, girls and boys in Kenyan communities.
Tirop’s Angels provide:
Education in schools, youth clubs and churches to raise awareness of how to recognise violence.
Teaching methods of deescalation and what to do or where to go should they find themselves victims.
Offering psychological, medical and legal support.
